Reel Works has teamed up with PBS to create a short documentary showcasing the intriguing backstories to six of New York City’s lesser know public parks. The program is expressed through the voices of six young filmmakers as they discover personal connections with the locations we all too often pass without regard.
Frank Wartinger was asked to compose and produce the music for the program, which aired on September 27th on PBS, right after the new Ken Burns film “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea”. First showing received great reviews and ratings with over 125,000 viewers in the New York City area.
